Date: 15.-17.04.22
Destination: Wales
Type of Rock: All sorts of vulcanic rocks
Travel Time from London: 6 hours
Weather: Pretty amazing for Wales
People on Board: Alex M, Alex S., Duncan, Emma, Lili, Maria, Matt, Mona and Sarah
What a blast did we have! Duncan secured us last minute campsite and by 2PM on Friday we were all pretty much there, on little Tryfan, doing some top roping, abseiling and multipitch practice.
Next day: Tryfan! We all made it to the top, including Marias husband, kids and dog. there were some sore knees though at the end of the day, so numbers were reduced for the late afternoon multipitch shinanigans on the east face.
On Sunday four of us went to do some sport climbing at the Bus Stop Quarry, where Lili and Matt did tehir first outdoor lead! Four others headed to Cader Idris, enduring a harrowing hike to the start of the Cyfwry Arete 7 pitch climb, finishing it in the rain, but it was worth every bit of it!
The trip ended with a short visit to Bus Stop Quarry for most of us but after only a couple of climbs we were washed of the walls and returned to London all moist as you do when you were in Wales.
