Five of us decided to visit our beloved secret crag – Under Rockes. It’s only a small place but features two classic routes that are well worth the visit: Uganda Wall (6b+) and Central Crack (6b); the latter was first climbed by the legendary Martin Boysen. As ever, it was beautiful and peaceful.
For the first time in a while, Inka was able to join us and brought along our new friend Brett. Brett is a regular indoor climber at CroyWall, who has now had his sandstone initiation! Sonila was there too, initially worried that she would struggle with the offering of routes which were mostly graded in the 6s. She needn’t have worried and had a great day.
A lovely day out ended at the Greyhound in Sydenham, where we celebrated Inka’s birthday.
