A scorcher of a day, the hottest of the year so far – good thing Lizards thrive in the sun! Thirteen of us spent the day at Bowles rocks, hunting for fine lines up the crag, hiding in patches of shade or – best of all – finding the perfect combination of the two. It was great to see some new faces – particular shoutout to photographer Kim who took all these gorgeous pictures on her sandstone climbing debut. We saw some terrific fights. Especially memorable were Sophia wrestling her way up Charlie’s Chimney (4a) in a storm of swearwords, and Alex and Inka coming out on top in a brawl with Abracadabra (6b). I could go on but shall leave you to soak in the photos.
